HAITCH was founded in 2024 by Harry Tillman and Nate Pozin.
Harry, from Berkshire, England, brings over a decade of experience in the luxury tailoring industry, with a career rooted in the traditions of Savile Row. He discovered his passion for bespoke tailoring in 2014 during a visit to Anderson & Sheppard, one of the most prestigious tailoring houses in the world, where he volunteered on Fridays for a year. Harry enrolled at Newham College in 2015 to study bespoke tailoring, garment making, and pattern cutting, developing a strong technical foundation in traditional tailoring methods. Later that year, he joined Thom Sweeney, a brand known for redefining modern British tailoring. After initially starting as an intern, Harry soon earned a permanent position as an undercutter, first drafting patterns and eventually cutting full garments - trousers, waistcoats, jackets, and tuxedos. When Thom Sweeney expanded into the U.S. market with the launch of their New York flagship store in 2018, Harry moved to New York City to lead the bespoke department.
Nate grew up in Corona del Mar, California. A lifelong musician, he grew up playing in bands and recording and releasing original music. Nate graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018 and moved to New York that summer to work in consulting at TCC Group. Over the next three and half years, Nate assisted in the design of social impact strategy for public and social sector organizations. Alongside his consulting work in New York, he formed Hairpin, a band that became a fixture in New York’s indie rock scene. Nate’s work in Hairpin solidified his interest in strategy and brand building for creative entities. As a result, in 2022, he took a role in Thom Sweeney’s New York showroom to help grow the brand’s footprint in the U.S.
The pair’s shared vision for how clothing should feel, function, and endure crystallized during their time at Thom Sweeney. HAITCH is the realization of that vision: to make contemporary clothing that explores the balance of beauty, utility, luxury, and restraint.
HAITCH is committed to creating a socially and ecologically responsible fashion house. This has shaped its focus on minimizing waste, avoiding overproduction, and optimizing the supply chain. As a result, all HAITCH garments are made in New York City. All tailoring items are made to order.
